2002 - Interactive 3D environement. School project





As my graduation project studying Illustration I created an interactive 3D environment comparable to a computer game. As starting point I chose Homer’s Odyssey because the timelessness of its themes and its many layers appealed to me a great deal. One of it’s motifs in particular.
“The purpose of the journey is the traveling itself”
I chose a transparent and graphic look. Massive shapes are expressed as lines occasionally resulting in abstract and surprising patterns and images.
This project was nominated for the ‘Kunstanjer’ of the Prins Bernhard Culture Foundation Utrecht by the Illustration department of the Utrecht School of Arts.
