H+F Collection

2005 - Website (concept, design and flash programming). Project at Studio Dumbar

Han Nefkens is a Dutch Journalist and Art collector. His large art collection consists mostly of photographs and paintings. He wanted people to be able to view his entire art collection on one website; instead of only being able to see parts in different museums and exhibitions.

The website concept stems from the logo form which contains a ‘plus’ sign. This plus was used to build a grid system from which the entire website is constructed. The experience is like a trip to a museum; there are surprises in every room. The expanding and collapsing navigation is smooth and dynamic, adding to this experience, like opening and closing doors. People can access information about specific pieces by opening information panels however the intention is that the focus is largely on the artwork itself.
